The happy hut
Hidden away from the rest of the accommodation at Moignes Court, our Cosy Woodland Cabin sits all by itself in its own private woodland glade. Sleeping just two, it’s a wonderfully intimate little hideaway for couples wanting to escape everyday life, slow down and spend a few nights surrounded by nature. By day, relax amongst the trees or sit around your own fire pit; by night, look up at wonderfully dark, star-filled skies and fall asleep to the sounds of the woods – hooting owls, rustling leaves and the occasional deer wandering quietly past.
Despite feeling wonderfully tucked away from the world, you’re still perfectly placed for exploring Dorset. The Jurassic Coast, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are only a short drive away, so you can spend the day adventuring before retreating back to your own little woodland hideaway, lighting the fire and watching the stars appear through the trees.
Off Grid retreat in the woods
This is a truly off-grid experience, rustic and simple but with everything you need for a cosy stay. The cabin has basic cooking facilities and essentials, fairy lights, hot-water bottles to keep you snug at night and a portable power pack for charging your phone, but there is no mains electricity. Fresh water is provided in containers which can be refilled at the main house, and you have your own compost toilet and wonderfully basic outdoor 12V pump shower. It’s not about luxury or modern conveniences – it’s about lighting the fire, listening to the woodland come alive after dark and enjoying the rare pleasure of getting completely back to nature.
